Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for managing and developing our clients apprenticeship programmes including the design, delivery, performance monitoring and evaluation of standards delivery ensuring quality of education for all apprentices. The post holder will support the Head of Operations in maintaining the key values of the company and driving through continuous improvement. Key responsibilities and duties: Maintain management information Provide weekly/monthly updates on performance to Head of Operations and jointly agree strategies to address underperformance and/or slow progress. Manage a team of staff through effective use of performance management and internal quality assurance arrangements. Monitor the performance and quality delivery of individual tutors. Monitor progress of individual apprentices, including their readiness for End Point Assessment. Manage staffing and resources Manage and monitor Tutor workloads to ensure all apprentices receive an excellent training experience and are well supported throughout their apprenticeship. Ensure Tutors maintain accurate progress tracking documents. Undertake an annual appraisal of Tutor's performance and identify and address ongoing training needs. Promote continuous improvement through regular team meetings. Ensure Tutors maintain up to date records of continuous development. Provide cover and support to Tutors in the delivery of apprenticeship training programmes (including teaching and workplace visits) to ensure apprentices receive a comprehensive and quality experience. Ensure tutors have the appropriate IT resources and equipment to carry out their duties. Design and implement operational strategies for apprenticeship delivery Co-ordinate the delivery of apprenticeships by ensuring that all apprentices receive the minimum 20% off the-job-training through a blended learning model and ensure face to face contact are maintained with apprentices and employers through workplace visits. Develop delivery models and off the job plans for each occupational areas. Monitor the effectiveness of delivery models and make changes following feedback from staff, apprentices, employers and quality team. Ensure tutors work with employers to ensure apprentices have a wide range of duties and responsibilities to enable them to complete their apprenticeship. Ensure employers develop and implement an employer training plan for their apprentice(s) and provide opportunity for apprentice(s) to undertake independent learning. Ensure all apprentices receive the necessary support interventions upon identification throughout their programme. Ensure Tutors complete monthly apprentice progress reports and Tutors support employers in completion of performance appraisal reports. Co-ordinate the delivering functional skills training in English and math's to those apprentices that have not attained a level 2. Manage End Point Assessment Co-ordinate arrangements for End Point Assessment. Ensure tutors follow the agreed EPA process and all documentation including portfolios are submitted to the administration team within agreed timescale. Ensure arrangements are in place to undertake quality assurance checks prior to the apprentices being put forward for EPA. Liaise with key stakeholders Quality team to ensure self-assessment and quality action plans are driving through continuous improvement. Business Development team to ensure good quality apprenticeships are being secured that ensure apprentices can demonstrate the appropriate skills, knowledge and behaviors required within their occupational area. Administration team to ensure correct information is collated and recorded to meet requirements of funding organisations. Awarding bodies to ensure we remain up to date with requirements and standards for approved qualifications. End point assessment organisation to ensure assessments are accurately planned and that requirement of end point assessment organisations are met. Continuous learning and development Keep up to date with developments within the sector and requirements of funding organisations. Company policies and British values Ensure all company policies particularly with regard to equality and diversity, safeguarding and health and safety are implemented. Contribute to ensuring all apprentices are prepared for a successful life in modern Britain and that fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect are promoted. Relevant Work Experience: Essential Managing teams using performance management methodology within a work based learning environment. Managing the delivery of Apprenticeships, including the planning of off the job training Managing conflict and under performance. Providing one to coaching and support to individual staff. Maintaining and monitoring performance management information. Undertaking observation of the learner journey and evaluating internal assessment and quality systems. Developing staff training plans. Desirable Developing corporate strategies Producing written reports and delivering presentations to governing boards. Involvement in OFSTED inspections. Knowledge: Essential How to develop appropriate performance management systems. Familiar with the internal quality assurance arrangements required by awarding bodies. Knowledge of the OFSTED criteria and the role of OFSTED in maintaining standards within work based learning. Appropriate coaching methods Apprenticeship standards and delivery models for Business Administration and IT Health and safety, equality and diversity and safeguarding legislation and government guidelines End Point Assessment process Desirable Understand the funding criteria for apprenticeships and classroom based learning. Knowledge of standards outside of our clients programmes to develop and deliver It would be advantageous to be able to design and/or deliver short programmes Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills. IT skills including PowerPoint, word and excel. Ability to provide constructive feedback to staff on their performance, quality of their delivery of training and assessment of qualifications. Produce evaluative reports on performance and quality of delivery. Qualifications: Academic or professional qualification at or above level 3. Adult teaching qualification at or above level 4. Functional skills at Maths, English and IT at or above level 2. Degree and/or professional qualification Personal attributes: Confident Self-starter Team player Ability to prioritise work and operate with minimum supervision. SALARY NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
