Role: - Materials Test Technician- entry level Location: - Aberdeen Salary: - Competitive Hourly rate Type: - 1-year temporary contract Start date: - ASAP Our global client are looking for a hands-on Test Technician to join their rapidly expanding team in Aberdeen. As a Test Technician you will be required to perform a variety of routine and non-routine tests. This is a fast-paced environment so you will be required to work at pace but also ensuring that your work is performed accurately. For this role they need someone who is 'technically minded' and have experience working with hands on tools. Responsibilities: Prepares material samples for testing. Conducts tests in accordance with customer requirements. Will work closely with Supervisor and Manager- often working beneath them. Interacts occasionally with customers. Arranges calibration of equipment Gathers and records test data. What is required for the role? - Hands on experience of working with tools. Knowledge of laboratory or warehouse experience would be advantageous. Ideally educated to GCSE level - voluntary or placement/work experience work welcomed. Conducting and analysis of tests Basic engineering or lab/warehouse experience is essential. Basic understanding of testing concepts It Literate Lifting requirements: lifting 50 lbs. on occasion Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time.
