The ideal candidate would possess the following attributes: - Skills/Qualifications: Educated to Degree / HND level in Food Science / Food technology or related subject A thorough understanding of food safety processes and procedures, including a working knowledge of HACCP. A clear understanding of sensory analysis Exemplary written and oral communication skills. Ability to work & influence across key functions within NFF Proficient IT skills in all applications. Strong organizational skills Experience: Experience of working and supporting an R&D function within the baking sector. Experience of operating at a level within an organization, where strategic development and planning have been required and demonstrated. Demonstrable record of achievement on delivering projects within an R&D function Conducted industrial size trials, collection of data and reporting of results Working in a cross functional team Knowledge of project management Personal Qualities: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire coworkers Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage and influence with key functions of the business. Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to drive performance of self and encourage team members. Can play a key part as an effective team member, demonstrating a “can do” approach. Capable and comfortable in leading/supporting challenging situations with the ability to present a reasoned argument/case.
