Embedded Software Engineer Wrexham, North Wales, UK £32-40k Open to graduate software engineers and junior software engineers. This is a new opening for an entry level embedded software engineer with a background in embedded software development utilising embedded C. The role will involve the design and development of new features and functions for the company’s broad range of automotive transmission systems. A background in embedded C programming for dynamic systems involving mechatronic, robotic, motion control or similar is required. Required: Embedded Software Engineer (graduate / junior) 0-4 years of post-academic experience developing software for motion control / mechatronic systems Strong evidence of embedded C experience (academic, industrial of own projects) Evidence of studying dynamic electromechanical systems (e.g. robotics, mechatronics, motor control, gearbox / transmissions, etc) Evidence of relevant projects on your CV will be required Our client is looking for an embedded software engineer (graduate or junior) with a relevant degree and evidence of relevant embedded software projects involving control, robotics, mechatronics or similar. The role will involve working with senior and principal engineers on the design of embedded software for existing and future technology developments and product enhancements for the company’s range of automotive transmission / gearbox systems. Skills / Experience required: Embedded Software Engineer Ideally a degree or masters in a relevant subject (e.g. computer science, electrical engineering, systems engineering, electronics engineering, mechatronics, robotics, etc.) 0-4 years of post-academic experience developing software for motion control / mechatronic systems Strong evidence of embedded C experience (academic, industrial of own projects) Evidence of studying dynamic electromechanical systems (e.g. robotics, mechatronics, motor control, transmission control, powertrain control, autonomous systems, etc) Evidence of relevant projects on your CV will be required (e.g. automotive ECUs, Formula student) Evidence of innovation and creative problem solving for relevant engineering projects would be great Experience gained with model-based Matlab / Simulink could be useful You will also be part of a supportive and collaborative team that will help you to develop your skills and progress your career.
