Renewable Oil Services limited are the UK’s leading provider of wind turbine oil exchanges. Innovation is a key part of ROS business and we are delighted to be at the forefront of the wind turbine service industry; designing, manufacturing and operating our specialised onshore and offshore equipment to ensure the cleanliness level of the wind turbine systems are maintained throughout the life of any operational wind turbine whilst achieving the minimal down time to carry out the gear oil, hydraulic oil, glycol coolant or main bearing grease exchanges and all at the highest health and safety standards possible. To project manage the development of a new zero heat loss hose sleeve for use in the pumping of gear oil to and from wind turbine gearboxes in low temperature environments. The project role will have assistance from the company’s own in-house engineers as well as from an academic from the Higher Education Institute, IT Sligo. Duties will include: Research, development and testing of materials suitable for the required project Managing and setting up the process for any testing and any equipment required to carry out testing at different stages of the project Holding regular project update meetings with all parties Interacting with manufacturers of materials and components Essential Criteria Mechanical Engineering degree level qualification Desirable Criteria Fluid mechanics Mechanics of Materials Condition Monitoring Manufacturing Systems Thermodynamics Dynamics Job Location Based from our head office at Stewarton, East Ayrshire.
