Canal and Rivers Trust Apprenticeships

Life at Canal and Rivers Trust for apprenticeships

Canals and rivers are a world away from every day. They're free, open spaces we can all enjoy - and it's our job at the Trust to keep them that way.

We are a charity, here to protect over 2,000 miles of waterways in England and Wales. We're custodians of a rich, living history but we look forwards to a brighter, better future too.

On the water, on foot, on a bike, with friends or on your own, everyone should have a good place to go. So take a fresh look at what's happening on your waterway. It's closer than you think.

Apprenticeships

We recognise that traditional canal skills are necessary to continue the vitally important work that we undertake on our canal network. Our Apprenticeship programmes help us to preserve these skills and to offer local training and employment.

If you are looking for a practical, hands-on career path and have an interest in working on the waterways then we would be keen to hear from you.  Our apprenticeship programmes will equip you with a wide range of specialist skills, whilst working as part of an enthusiastic and experienced team.

We are currently finalising our apprenticeship positions for the future. Any apprenticeships will be advertised here. In the meantime, we recommend considering getting involved with the our work through our volunteering or youth project opportunities, where you will be able to learn a more about what we do and gain valuable work experience.

We'd also suggest that you set up a job alert through this link so you are the first to find out about apprenticeship opportunities as soon as they are advertised.
