All the recognised Courses / Qualifications are approved by academic bodies such as; City & Guilds / NVQ/ ACS Gas Safe, Industry Bodies such as BPEC, NICEIC, REA& TIGA, Educational Establishments & Employers across the UK.
Advice is given on the career-path to initially suit the individual; either as a full-time employee, sub-contractor or self-employed sole-trader / Ltd company owner.
Career Opportunities & Training:
All the Video Game courses shown on the website - Mobile App Designer / Developer, Artist / Animator, Designer, Developer & Tester are approved by the regulatory body for the UK gaming industry TIGA and endorsed by academic bodies such as City & Guilds / NVQ & employers across the UK – upon completion of the course and obtaining the recognised qualification required, work placement help is available.
No qualification is needed to start studying the initial entry levels 1 – 3 (a Course Adviser will initially assess each individuals ability to recommend which course is best suited). The higher levels of 4 – 7 will require for Levels 1 – 3 to be completed first or an equivalent Qualification achieved.
Courses are split into 3 key areas; Online Home-Study (where the student corresponds online with their course Tutor / Professor), Theory (within a class-room environment, as the student progresses through the Levels) & Practical (where the student will work with other students (Groups) studying different courses i.e. Designer, Developer, Animator, Tester, to develop a unique video game;
A Designer - designs the game concept layout A Developer - develops the game program build An Artist / Animator – does all the games graphics A Tester - makes sure the video game works with no glitches Mobile App Designer & Developer
Payment of the course can be spread over the length of the course & for some in receipt of either Jobseekers or Income Support – where applicable, there is financial help available.
