Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer (CAD) Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum Position Type: Permanent Location: Dundee, Scotland Hours: 8.30am-5pm Monday - Friday Benefits: 23 days holiday bank holidays (Increases with length of service), Pension, Health Cash Plan, Personal Accident Insurance Company/Position My client is a market leader within the specialist engineering manufacturing industry. They are looking to hire a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer. You will provide draughting and technical documentation support to both production and product maintenance departments. Example of Responsibilities Assisting the engineering department in preparation of design layouts and detailed drawings. Utilising the MRP system to create customer specific Bills of Materials. Assisting in the preparation of works procedures for the building, production and testing of products. Creating machined component drawings including dimensions, linear and geometric tolerances, finishes and notes. Making amendments to any arrangement or production drawings. Assisting in the checking of Bills of Materials and General Arrangement drawings. Assisting other members of the Engineering department in matters relating to product development, value engineering and real time solving of production problems. Assisting in the real time analysis of rejected components. Essential skills Engineering related degree or qualification Ideally some exposure to AutoCAD or SolidWorks during studies Interest in working within engineering Excellent attention to detail IT literate with knowledge of office software such as Word and Outlook Must be eligible to work in the UK.
