Rolls Royce Graduate and Intern Graduate Jobs

Life at Rolls Royce Graduate and Intern for graduates

Our programmes for graduates and interns

Our high-performance, integrated power solutions are at the cutting edge of technology. From powering huge commercial vessels to nuclear submarines, supersonic fighter jets to highly efficient passenger planes, or rail locomotives to luxury yachts, we go above and beyond to create better. And it's all thanks to our people. Whether they work in engineering or finance, manufacturing or project management, our 50,000-strong team work together to deliver excellence in the air, on land and at sea - to customers in 150 nations.

In Civil and Defence Aerospace, Nuclear, Marine and Power Systems, our people drive performance by embracing new challenges: whether that's by developing engines that go further on less fuel, or creating smarter processes to improve our business and enhance our customer experience. Such best-in-class engineering relies on more than just technical expertise, however. So we balance knowledge and rigour with new ideas and fresh thinking by hiring lots of bright, ambitious and innovative graduates and undergraduates. This year, you could be one of them.

Create better

Graduate or undergraduate, you'll need to be ambitious, driven and curious. You'll want to know how things work and, more importantly, how you can make them better. At Rolls-Royce, you'll be encouraged to put these qualities to the test on live projects: sharing ideas and making a positive impact - on your team, on our products and on our global business.

Graduate Development Programmes

We offer graduates opportunities in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Human Resources, Customer & Services Management, Operations Management, Health & Safety, Commercial, Project Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Management. It's a huge range of specialisms, and each brings its own challenges and rewards.

Whether you're engineering on the micron scale or scoping out new ways of working, you'll explore Rolls-Royce through a series of structured placements. You'll learn how our diverse teams work together, and gain an in-depth understanding of your chosen area. Ultimately, your programme will either prepare you for a future as an expert in your field or enable you to grow into one of our leaders of the future.

You'll also work on live projects alongside some of the most respected, highly qualified people in their industries. As well as on-the-job training, you can look forward to opportunities to pursue further development, including professional accreditation and additional qualifications. More than that, you'll get guidance and support from mentors, careers coaches, line managers and HR professionals.

You'll develop new skills and forge new relationships faster than you thought possible. Eventually, you'll be ready to take on exciting opportunities in the areas your skills are best suited to.

Internship Programmes

Every year, we take a significant number of undergraduates onto our Summer Internship and Internship programmes. Spanning the breadth of our engineering disciplines and our operations and business teams, these opportunities are as varied as they are challenging.

We offer two types of internships. The first lasts 6-12 months in Commercial, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management, Purchasing or Supply Chain Management. We also offer 10-week Summer Internships in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Commercial, Customer & Services Management, Human Resources, Operations Management, Project Management, Procurement or Supply Chain Management.

Our internships allow you to stretch yourself on real-life assignments designed to develop your existing skills and equip you with new ones. Expect invaluable practical experience and exposure within an international organisation. Impress us, and you can look forward to much more than that. Each year, many of our interns go on to join one of our graduate development programmes. It's a valuable opportunity which, in the UK for example, could bring you a bursary of £1,500 on top of your starting salary and bonus.

As well as all the new skills you'll learn, you'll have access to a huge number of Rolls-Royce professionals. A lot of them have been where you are now, and you'll find they're only too happy to help you progress in your career.
