Graduate Opportunities for Engineering or Business Management

Saint-Gobain Glass is one of the major Divisions of the Saint-Gobain Group.

The Group employs some 170,500 employees across 40 countries.

What do we do?

Saint-Gobain Glass products are all around us. From self-cleaning glass, anti-reflective glass, flat screen technology, shaped glass for the automotive industry (50% of European cars have Saint-Gobain glass), right through to modern art (the Louvre in Paris is made with Saint-Gobain glass).

'You'll be surprised what Saint-Gobain can do with a graduate and £1 million'

We pick out graduates that have visible drive, positive influence, and a genuine desire to enter engineering, production or business management coupled with a logical approach to tackling problems, fast.

Whatever your degree, Saint-Gobain gives you early & significant responsibility for leading people to achieve results.

You can expect to have major management responsibilities in the business within 5 years; thanks to the innovative way we take you through the key issues every serious manager must learn to make any business a success. Depending on your development route you could be managing a £1 million business OR leading a team of 50 people to run a £5 million production facility.

Your first 5 years will involve 2-3 significant roles in different locations around the UK. Each role and the tailored Graduate Development Programme will increase your knowledge, skills, experience and confidence taking you ever closer to having complete responsibility for one of our 31 business units.

So, if you think you have the ability to impress one of the worlds largest industrial groups with a turnover of 30 billion euro across 40 countries, we'd definitely like to hear from you.

And, with a start salary of £22-25,000 plus pension, share purchase scheme and 25 days holiday you'll definitely want to hear from us.

You will need to have at least 24 UCAS points and an expected 2.1 or above. A placement or relevant work experience will be an advantage. Good spoken & written French will increase your opportunities for working outside the UK.

Our annual intake is for September 2004, when your Training Programme will begin for which we recently won a National Training Award.

Deadline for applications: 31st January 2004
