Are you passionate about demostrating the value of education to children with additional needs? We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support children with special educational needs and associated challenging behaviours. This specialist school based in Leatherhead are looking for a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to support children aged 4-17 with severe learning difficulties. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door and gain relevant experience through working closely with vulnerable children and specialist therapy teams to expand your knowledge and skillset before embarking on a teaching career. The Special Needs LSA role will give you essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting. Career progression routes include Special Needs Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist and various Child Psychology and Educational Psychology routes. It is vital that you are sincere about your objectives and know why you want to work in this sector, providing the best possible outcomes for students who have complex learning needs.
